On this episode of Cut to the Chase:, Dr. Adam Leibovich comes on to discuss the first images that we can see from the James Webb Telescope.   Dr. Leibovich, a physics professor at the University of Pittsburg and now the Director of the Pittsburgh Quantum Institute, shows us the first images, including images of Jupiter and he goes through the mission of the new telescope.

Dr. L also explains how the James Webb Telescope differs from the Hubble Telescope and lots of fun possibilities, including whether the James Webb Telescope will be able to detect life outside our planet.   Exoplanets, infrared, gravitational lensing and of course whether this all proves or disproves Einstein’s theory of general relativity.
