Under Florida law, what is a permanent injury is going to qualify for pain and suffering. The question then becomes, “What is a permanent injury?” So things such as scarring, broken bones, tissues that are herniated, or otherwise affected, can be considered permanent injuries. Ultimately, the jury will determine whether you have a permanent injury and if that determination is made, then they will be allowed to award you monetary compensation for your pain and suffering.
