The laws that apply to bicyclists under Florida are under Florida statute 316, so if you are a bicycle rider, whether you ride recreationally or you ride the roadways, you should review these laws. Whether you can ride with both hands on your wheels or whether you can ride without any of your hands on the wheels, laws like this are going to be set forth in the Florida statutes, so a helmet, whether you need to have a light, what type of light, where you’re supposed to ride, all these will be contained within Florida statute 316. I suggest that you review those laws and if you have any questions, call a lawyer for a consultation.
